RAMJAM2

 Nerve Festival

The Nerve Festival of Art, Music, Performance, Animation and Interactivity was held at the ICA London. September 1999. Organised by Nerve Systems. Co-directed and curated by Michael Da Costa, Dianne Harris and Clive Sall. Sponsored by Sony Playstation, MTV, Sunday Express and Sleazenation.

Stem collaborated with Hexstatic to produce a new version of RAMJAM in the main bar.

The theme of the festival was the HUMAN SENSES. The collaboration between Stem and Hexstatic allowed users to manipulate audiovisual clips relating to vision, sound, taste, smell and touch.

The main bar area at the ICA was rigged with sound and video consoles connected to a sampler and computer. Visitors acted as VJ's and random sound bite manipulators in tandem with the DJ.
